Spoiler warning: this page covers The Celebrity Traitors series 2 up to and including Episode 6 (Friday 16 October 2026). If you’d rather stay in the dark, our spoiler-free cast and schedule guide is the one for you.
The short answer: After six episodes, eight of the 21 celebrities are out. The Faithful have caught two Traitors, Richard E. Grant and Professor Hannah Fry, but have also banished three of their own. The current Traitors are Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny, and 13 players are left with four episodes to go (BBC Media Centre; Hello!; Metro).
The second celebrity series has been chaos from the very first Round Table. Its opening episode averaged 8.9 million viewers, which Hello! reports is the biggest debut for any series of the show in the UK (Hello!). Then a Traitor told the castle what he was, and things only got stranger from there. Here’s the full picture, exit by exit.

Who are the Traitors?
Claudia Winkleman picked just two Traitors at the start: Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama. They quickly recruited James Acaster to make a trio. After Richard was banished, Maya and James recruited Hannah Fry, and after Hannah was banished they brought in YouTuber and boxer King Kenny (Hello!).
| Traitor | How they got the cloak | Status after Episode 6 |
|---|---|---|
| Maya Jama | Chosen by Claudia | Still in |
| James Acaster | Recruited by Richard and Maya | Still in |
| King Kenny | Recruited by Maya and James after Hannah’s banishment | Still in |
| Richard E. Grant | Chosen by Claudia | Banished |
| Hannah Fry | Recruited by Maya and James after Richard’s banishment | Banished |

There’s a nice twist for reality fans here. Maya hosts Love Island UK, and she’s played the whole series so far without being seriously caught. Several departing players have tipped her to win. “I think Maya is playing the most amazing game,” Hannah told the BBC (BBC Media Centre).
Amol Rajan: murdered
The broadcaster was the first Faithful to go. According to Hello!, the reveal in Episode 2 showed that Richard and Maya had chosen to recruit James Acaster, and Amol was the one who didn’t make it out (Hello!). Amol described the build-up in the chapel as more intense than anything he’d felt since filming at the Kumbh Mela. “It’s gutting to be the first out,” he said, “but James is a fantastic player, and I guess people aren’t going to suspect him” (BBC Media Centre; Hello!).
Richard E. Grant: banished (Traitor)
This is the moment the series will be remembered for. When Joe Lycett asked Richard whether he was a Traitor, Richard said yes. “It was a completely catastrophically idiotic thing to do!” he told the BBC afterwards (BBC Media Centre).

He received 18 votes at the first Round Table (Hello!). Radio Times says that made him the only UK Traitor ever banished at the first Round Table (Radio Times). His exit line, “I am an unfaithful Traitor,” got a standing ovation. “I gave it to them on a platter,” he said (BBC Media Centre).
Myha’la: banished (Faithful)
Riding high after catching Richard, the Faithful went straight after Myha’la, who had given Richard a parting wink. Bella Ramsey and Julie Hesmondhalgh led the charge (Radio Times). She was banished at the second Round Table and turned out to be Faithful. “I’m built to be a Traitor,” she told the BBC. “If they want me back as a Traitor, I’m waiting” (BBC Media Centre).

Bella Ramsey: murdered
The Last of Us star was the second Faithful murdered, in Episode 4. Hello! reports that Maya, Hannah and James chose to take out a strong Faithful player (Hello!). Bella was gracious about it: “I think the Traitors killed me off because they knew that I was maybe going to start doing that and get to the bottom of things” (BBC Media Centre).

Julie Hesmondhalgh: banished (Faithful)
Julie went from being voted the most trustworthy player in Episode 1 to being banished in Episode 4 (Stylist). Hannah Fry was also under heat at that Round Table and survived. Julie was candid about her own defence: “I was so sketchy throughout the whole thing,” she told the BBC, and she summed up her time in the castle as “challenging, bonkers, delightful” (BBC Media Centre).
Rob Beckett: murdered face to face
In Episode 5, Rob was sent into the crypts for a game of hide-and-seek with Ross Kemp, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Romesh Ranganathan. Maya, James and Hannah then murdered him face to face (Hello!; Stylist). It also broke up the castle’s funniest double act. Rob had been playing alongside his close friend Romesh (Radio Times). He took it well: “I’ve done five episodes and been murdered. So that’s enough, let daddy have a day off!” (BBC Media Centre).
Professor Hannah Fry: banished (Traitor)
Hannah started as a Faithful. After Richard’s banishment she got a seduction letter, and she told the BBC she accepted partly because she expected to be murdered if she didn’t (BBC Media Centre). The suspicion she’d faced from day one finally caught up with her in Episode 5. She was banished with votes from most of the table, including her fellow Traitors Maya and James (Hello!).

Her exit interview is worth reading in full if you like a theory. She explained the patterns she’d been tracking in a spreadsheet, like “burn votes” and the way three Traitors avoid being seen together (BBC Media Centre). “Killing Rob Beckett was one of the best evenings I’ve had in my entire life,” she added.
Joe Lycett: banished (Faithful)
Joe made no secret of wanting to be a Traitor, and after Hannah’s banishment he openly asked to be recruited. The next morning, when it was clear someone had joined the Traitors, the castle turned on him. He was banished in Episode 6 as a Faithful, and the actual recruit was King Kenny (Metro; Radio Times).
“I’m a silly billy,” he told the BBC. His advice to those left: “stop voting in a block and experiment with voting with their heart and their instincts” (BBC Media Centre).

What happens next?
Episode 6 ended mid-murder. Maya, James and Kenny were set a murder in plain sight: make another player yawn, then say the words “am I boring you?” When the credits rolled, Maya and James were still pantomime-yawning at Ross Kemp and Jerry Hall (Metro). We’ll find out whether it worked on Thursday.
The rest of the run, all at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer (Stylist; The Independent):
- Episode 7: Thursday 22 October
- Episode 8: Friday 23 October
- Episode 9: Thursday 29 October
- Episode 10, the final: Friday 30 October. It runs 80 minutes, to 9.20pm, which makes it the show’s longest episode yet. A 40-minute Uncloaked follows.
The players are competing for up to £100,000 for their chosen charities (BBC News). For the record of who’s won before, see every Traitors winner in the US and UK. Last series, Alan Carr won it as a Traitor.
